About This Space 

Gatesgarth is a 2 bedroomed traditional English cottage with self contained bathroom, kitchen & lounge, part of a 16th Century Inn, all overlooking the Eden Valley.

Our kitchen has a log burner so you can unwind in a cozy atmosphere. This cottage has a private entrance and each room has a beautiful aspect overlooking the countryside.

And you could choose to dine in our restaurant.

The Space

The cottage has 2 bedrooms (one en-suite with shower, the other is kingsize, both rooms have a tv), one ample kitchen with table seating for x4 people and log burner, and an upstairs lounge with a seating area And a beautiful space. There is also a fully equipped, family bathroom with a bath and shower. The pub beer garden is just at the front of the property and can be used by guests whenever the restaurant is closed (meaning that tables are available to use during breakfast and lunchtimes, as well as Monday through Wednesday evenings when the restaurant is closed). The property has its own hallway and stairway that links the rooms.

Guest Access

The property has a private entrance and hallway. Guests have full privacy and use of two bedrooms, one bathroom, lounge, kitchen and hallway. There is a free guest carpark.

Other Things To Note

Gatesgarth cottage is above a traditional inn, which serves locally sourced ingredients, traditional ales and nice wines, so there can be restaurant noise as well as guests coming and going into the early hours.

We provide continental breakfast items for the first night, including milk, orange juice, bread, butter, jam and cereals. If you’re staying for longer than one night, please ask for details of local convenience stores to replenish items.

The village has a pub restaurant, which is at the heart of the community, and where you’re sure to meet friendly locals for insights into the area. From our front door you can wander along to the Eden River for a peaceful riverside walk.
