Rose Cottage is a lovingly renovated 17th century cottage tucked away in a traditional Cumbrian village. We have kept the old character of the original building and added fresh and appealing homely touches and furnishings. The lovely kitchen, lounge and upstairs bedroom with king size bed and adjoining country style bathroom is clean, contemporary yet cosy with all modern day comforts. Handy for M6 motorway and northern lakes with a pub “The Pheasant Inn” serving great food Thursday-Saturday”

With a 65” smart tv, surround sound, rain shower, Belfast sink and a secret garden, Rose Cottage is a beautifully secluded space for anyone looking to get away from the hustle and bustle. And next to the award winning Pheasant Inn, you can be sure to have first class food and wine over the weekend.

Guest Access

Front patio and rear garden with furniture for two. Guests can also use the beer garden to The Pheasant Inn during non opening hours.

Other Things To Note

Rose cottage is above a traditional inn, which serves locally sourced ingredients, traditional ales and nice wines, so there can be restaurant noise as well as guests coming and going into the early hours.

We provide continental breakfast items for the first night, including milk, orange juice, bread, butter, jam and cereals. If you’re staying for longer than one night, please ask for details of local convenience stores to replenish items.
